Ah! here at last
The thunder and the rain
So gutters and drainpipes run
And all night long the garden drips
The roads and windows wash
Dire thirst upon the land is slaked
The dust-dried town relieved
And cool at last
Beneath his sheet
The little boy can sleep
I recognise that "relief" from the heat.
