Monochrome in the morning

 Monochrome in the morning

On the water, sea through silhouetted pines

monochrome in the morning

the sun’s a pathway silvering, from shore to horizon

like flaming arrow’s flight, bright

Catalonia this morning

September’s softer sun

  1. Perfect marrying of image to words, or words to image! 'Sea through silhouetted pines'. You do choose some lovely words!!

    1. This was the view from our hotel Clare and I was surprised how monochrome it was when captured in a photo. I think a lot about the words - as you can imagine! Sometimes I have to cut a word/ phrase that I love because it's wrong in the poem. Silhouetted came late in the writing, as an adjective.
