Into
the sudden dropping dusk
Into the sudden dropping dusk
I raced on rush hour roads
anxious for route, east or west
weary and wanting home
fear like a drum, ta da rum, ta da rum
adrenalin overflowing.
Caught up in a car chase, rat race, lunacy
I hurtled, crossing lanes.
Then into the sudden dropping dusk
serene in a violet sky
silent and lovely, luminous, O!
Floated the breathless moon.

Yes it was wonderful. I turned off the same rat race driving back on the M5 from Cornwall. Decided to get home via Street and Wells, was really taken aback by the full moon rising up as I crossed the Mendips. Delighted we shared it. xxx
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful Jude! I always think of you when the moon is truly spectacular and I'm so glad that though we weren't together, we were sharing as you say. Have missed you this half term, very much xx
